ROSSOMAHAAR "Imperium Tenebrarum"
More Hate Productions
Rating: 7/10
Quite an aged output, dating back to 1999. First release of More Hate prod. Most of you must be already aware of the musical content of "Imperium..." since it was quite a successful album and gained much respect in the whole scene. If not, then I'll try to give you the point. "Imperium..." in my view is a rawer version of DIMMU BORGIR's "Enthrone Darkness Triumphant". That's it. It's well played, mostly fast-paced, very aggressive and thoughout. Unfortunately, guitars sound too loud, shading the rhytm-section. All in all, the debut album of ROSSOMAHAAR is worth of your attention if you are into technical Death/Black and wish to get a clearer vision of Russian Black Metal scene. By the way, their second output is coming out this fall on Last Episode in Germany. The guys promise an explosion of Black Metal brutality, incomparable to "Imperium Tenebrarum" We'll see.
